Architectural designers apply the science of architecture and typically concentrate on the technology of building, design and construction. They can or may negotiate the construction project, and manage the process from conception through to completion. The course in architectural technology is a one year national certificate. Architectural technology covers technical building design, the design of construction details, the design of parts of buildings and the presentation of the design.
The Architectural Technology national certificate & Diploma is where you have decided you want to be an architect, you will design residential architectural buildings in 2D & 3D CAD as well as advanced BIM Software.

After 2 years of practical work, register with SACAP.
All learners will need 3 years work experience in Architecture and will be able to to register as a candidate Architectural Draughtsman, even if they have a national diploma accredited by CETA if one does not have a qualification from any SACAP”s accredited learning sites you are only allowed to register as a Draughtsman.
