Je-Taime Juta, a CAD4ALL Alumni, currently working for CCS International / Huaxin, had this to say about her time at CAD4ALL and how her studies influenced her current career.

“I completed my CAD 1 and CAD 2 at CAD4ALL in 2017. Ever since leaving college, it has been a struggle finding a job as it usually is for college students due to the lack of experience.

I had applied back and forth at various companies some 4-5 times for 2 years, until one day I received correspondence from Elzaan De Leeuw (lecturer) in late February of 2019, asking if I was still unemployed. I was then directed to a telecoms company under the name of CCS International / Huaxin whose clients are of the likes of MTN, Telkom and in contract with ZTE.

I started as a Junior Design Draughtswoman in early March 2019 and 2 weeks later was promoted to Senior Design Draughtswoman as the first female in the history of CCS and ZTE  that is a designer. I am grateful for the blessing that is design and without the courses I have completed at CAD4ALL wouldn’t be in a company in which I am today. My Multi-Disciplinary Draughting course was the most important one as I was exposed too and am still exposed to so much in this field of work.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, which was losing our biggest client, I was retrenched on 23 March 2020, and this before the Coronavirus pandemic and been unemployed for almost 3 months until I received a phone call that I have my job back and this now in contract with Huawei and working for the first 5G company in South Africa, RAIN Data as the only drafter.

I am so blessed and I am extremely honoured to be working for these companies and without my experience in draughting and with the help of CAD4All and completing my courses, I don’t know where I would be today and for that, I would like to say thank you to CAD4ALL.
