As you master your design skills, you will be competent in completing a fully developed room design complete with lighting, spatial layout, and finish selections. The built environment in all its aspects including the furniture and design impacts peoples immediate living and society. In this interior architecture design qualifications, you will be trained as a professional to ensure that living, working and leisure spaces are functional and comfortable, but it will also give you the know-how needed to design a room from floor to ceiling. Our contextualized course will provide you with the theoretical design foundation necessary to test the feasibility of your designs. The learner will delve into colour theory, industry trends, floor plans, spatial arrangements, modern interior design ideas and other basics.
Entrance requirements: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12), NQF Level 4 Qualification, Mathematics literacy, Communication / English at Gr 12, Engineering Graphics & Design or Visual Arts at Grade 12, EDG Academy membership at grade 11 & 12 (advantageous)
Duration: 24 Months (Year 1 Certificate & Year 2 Diploma)
