The Lecturer in Information Technology provides expert-level instruction in advanced IT concepts, requiring an NQF Level 9 qualification. Responsibilities include lecturing, research, curriculum development, and mentoring students. The role is integral to ensuring that learners are equipped with cutting-edge knowledge and skills to excel in the rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures in Information Technology, including programming, software development, and emerging technologies.
- Develop and update course material to reflect the latest industry standards and advancements.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, fostering a passion for technology and innovation.
- Assess student performance through structured formative and summative assessments.
- Participate in curriculum development, quality assurance, and research initiatives.
- Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure programme relevance and strengthen student employability through Work-Integrated Learning opportunities.
- Contribute to the strategic goals of CAD4ALL by promoting academic excellence and innovation in the IT field.
Required Skills and Attributes

- Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A passion for teaching and developing the next generation of IT professionals.
- Experience in teaching and/or industry practice is highly advantageous.
