This NQF level 5 SAQA Qualification in Architectural technology will apply the science of architecture and typically concentrate on the technology of building, design and construction. The qualified architectural technologist can or may negotiate the construction project and manage the process from concept to completion. The course in Architectural Technology is a one-year National Certificate or two-year National Diploma. Architectural technology covers technical building, design, the design of construction details, the design of parts of buildings and the presentation of the design. With new transition over to the Department of Higher education and training this qualifications will change to Higher Certificate and Advanced Diploma.
