STEMLab is at the forefront of STEM education, and we are looking for a passionate and innovative Educator in Robotics, Coding, and Mechatronics. This individual will drive our national STEMLab initiatives, train learners, and lead the Robotics and Coding division. This role involves leading innovative STEM initiatives, including hosting weekly national STEMLab webinars for educators and training learners in robotics, coding, and mechatronics. Responsibilities also include establishing and managing the STEMLab Club, promoting the adoption of robotic classroom kits, and overseeing the performance of adhoc lecturers. This position is central to advancing CAD4ALL’s vision of leadership in STEM education.
Position Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Diploma (NQF Level 7) or Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Coding, or a related field.
- Experience in education, STEM fields, or technology-based teaching is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- STEMLab Webinars: Host and manage weekly national STEMLab webinars for teachers, showcasing innovative teaching practices and promoting robot classroom kits.
- Training Learners: Provide hands-on training in Robotics, Coding, and Mechatronics for STEMlab learners, focusing on practical application and industry relevance.
- STEMLab Club: Establish and manage the STEMLab Club, creating an engaging platform for students to explore robotics and coding through projects and competitions.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and manage adhoc teachers in Robotics and Coding, ensuring high-quality instruction and alignment with STEMlab academic goals.
- Programme Development: Develop and deliver engaging curricula, incorporating the latest trends and technologies in Robotics, Coding, and Mechatronics.
- Product Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote robot classroom kits and increase adoption across educational institutions.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Proficiency in programming languages, robotics platforms, and mechatronic systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging webinars and teaching sessions.
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities to manage STEMLab initiatives and staff.
- Passion for innovation and inspiring interest in STEM among learners and educators.
- Previous experience in promoting or selling STEM products is a plus.
