STEMLab is at the forefront of STEM education, and we are looking for a passionate and innovative Educator in Robotics, Coding, and Mechatronics. This individual will drive our national STEMLab initiatives, train learners, and lead the Robotics and Coding division. This role involves leading innovative STEM initiatives, including hosting weekly national STEMLab webinars for educators and training learners in robotics, coding, and mechatronics. Responsibilities also include establishing and managing the STEMLab Club, promoting the adoption of robotic classroom kits, and overseeing the performance of adhoc lecturers. This position is central to advancing CAD4ALL’s vision of leadership in STEM education.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma (NQF Level 7) or Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Coding, or a related field.
  • Experience in education, STEM fields, or technology-based teaching is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • STEMLab Webinars: Host and manage weekly national STEMLab webinars for teachers, showcasing innovative teaching practices and promoting robot classroom kits.
  • Training Learners: Provide hands-on training in Robotics, Coding, and Mechatronics for STEMlab learners, focusing on practical application and industry relevance.
  • STEMLab Club: Establish and manage the STEMLab Club, creating an engaging platform for students to explore robotics and coding through projects and competitions.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and manage adhoc teachers in Robotics and Coding, ensuring high-quality instruction and alignment with STEMlab academic goals.
  • Programme Development: Develop and deliver engaging curricula, incorporating the latest trends and technologies in Robotics, Coding, and Mechatronics.
  • Product Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote robot classroom kits and increase adoption across educational institutions.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Proficiency in programming languages, robotics platforms, and mechatronic systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging webinars and teaching sessions.
  • Strong organisational and leadership abilities to manage STEMLab initiatives and staff.
  • Passion for innovation and inspiring interest in STEM among learners and educators.
  • Previous experience in promoting or selling STEM products is a plus.

All South African training service providers must be accredited to offer registered SAQA qualifications. Yes, CAD4ALL is accredited with its primary accreditation training quality assurance body (ETQA) which is with the Construction Education Training Authority (CETA). In 2011, we initiated our first accreditation approval with CETA as it was the only CAD & Architectural Technology qualification available at SAQA at that time.

Certain CAD4ALL programmes are also offered in a convenient online format enabling accessibility virtually from anywhere in Africa.

The first step is to attend the scheduled CAD4ALL campus tours/Open days (listed event dates on the website)at a campus near you. If you are undecided to which programs you are interested in, our student admissions will assist with a complimentary academic consult with detailed specifics to your career path enquiries and admission requirements needed. Furthermore you will be provided with a CAD4ALL prospectus and checklist where you can browse all the information on our national programmes offered. Alternatively, you may complete your application online.

 

The academic year follows an annual cycle and commences in February for fulltime students, but applications open up in June of the previous year. Seats are limited and fill up quickly so it is best to apply early as late registrations may affect your chances of receiving a placement offer for your first choice of study. All registration and enrolment applications are met with IMPORTANT deadline dates that may only be extended with a late penalty fee and price increase as per the institute terms and conditions policy.

No we are not. We have been engaging with SACAP over the last 3 years to ensure that our current students have a pathway to register with them. As of late 2022, our students of past and present can register with SACAP in the Apprenticeship category designation. We have integrated our curriculum with this new designation to ensure our students are able to meet portions of their requirements during their studies with us. Our institute regularly seeks consultation with SACAP on curriculum, pathways and engages with SACAP’s webinars. Registration with SACAP under a category most suitable for them is the student’s responsibility and is recommended by our institute.

The admission requirements are slightly different dependent on your course choices.

 

  • National Diploma (48733 Architectural Technology NQF 6)
    National Certificate (48734 Architectural Technology) with a diploma admission.
  • National Certificate (48734 Architectural Technology NQF 5)
    NSC) with a Higher Certificate Admission, a minimum of 40% passing English either First Additional Language or Home Language level with a minimum of 50% pass in Mathematics
  • Certificate (SAQA 66071 Architectural Draughting NQF 4)
    NSC) with a Higher Certificate Admission, a minimum of 40% pass mark in English on either First Additional Language or Home Language level with a minimum of 40% pass in Mathematical literacy or Mathematics
