As it was a significant success in 2022, it is design competition time again for all high school design enthusiasts to get their creative juices flowing. On 02 September 2023, the Western Cape Education Department with CAD4ALL Institute of Applied Architecture will again host and design the brief for the high schools of the Western Cape. This year the competition invites Gr 10-12 EGD learners across the Western Cape province to participate and represent their prospective schools.
The challenge encourages up-and-coming high school EGD & Technical & Design learners interested in architectural design to establish their mark and pursue their tertiary studies within the field.
CAD4ALL was the first private education institute selected as host and judge for the 2022 WCED design event, which proved to be hugely successful and popular amongst the participants. Last year, learners were enthusiastic and engaging, with the competition sparking a desire to create and construct.
Various prizes were sponsored by CAD4ALL, including training vouchers & Bursaries, with 1st place going to Alexzandria Letizia of Campsbay High and second place to Jordan Prince of Campsbay High.
CAD4ALL Institute of Applied Architecture is thrilled to be invited again by the WCED and will once again blueprint and drive this extraordinary EGD design competition program this year, providing exceptional prize giveaways
Anticipation is high for another successful competition this year, with several schools knowing the standard at which they have to compete.
Improving the competition and prizes will significantly boost all the 2023 participants, and we look forward to all the entries.
